Albert the Great

On the Flu

Introduction by Rega Wood

Albertus says: "It must be said that the brain is cold because of the temperament of the heart. For in the heart heat is overabundant, and life requires a temperament in that in which it is, and therefore nature has ordained some organ, in which there is an overabundance of cold, by which the heat of the heart is regulated, so that an intermediate condition is caused."
