Richard Rufus

On the Place of the Outermost Sphere

Introduction by Rega Wood

Richard Rufus says: “Before we speak about this immobility, let us speak about what is the location of the universe. Let us understand the arch of the universe. This circumference is the universal distance from the center not on account of some distance of its own, but through the distance measurement of the body. Therefore we must know that this circumference, if it is considered as the terminus of this body, but as a certain circling thing, having a universal distance from the center, let us commonly say that this is the location of the universe. ”
