Latin Grammar: Genitives

Et ex his est et basilicus solo visu hominem ut dicitur interficiens. Ex his est vir vel mulier, quicunque oculos habens fascinantes, si creditur sermonibus vulgaribus et maxime mulierum vetularum.

The phrase si creditur sermonibus vulgaribus et maxime mulierum vetularum ends the passage above with a certain ironic flair:  "...if much is believed from the common sayings of little old women."

It is important to recognize genitive forms, such as that in mulierum vetularum, in order to get the full effect of a translation.
